Had 4" more Saturday night and another 4" last night. Pretty well snowed in at this point. Icy rain maybe later this week, so I fired up the genny to check it out. All is well.
There is a calm beauty to being snowed in out here. The world is far, far away. Things become elemental, simple, honest: keep warm, keep fed, keep stuff working. That's pretty much what matters.
There is a kind of security in that isolation, in a snowed in circumstance, isnt there? You can be sure no one is going to come around for just about any reason. However, medical emergencies would be most interesting....

Helluva deal. I'm still picking vegetables here in Salt Lake. All of our snow has been up in the mountains.
Well, not all of it!
Some of it sneaked over here. You want it back?
We can always use more up in the hills; that's our water for next summer.
