One of my mice is missing

Well, not exactly missing. I knew exactly where he was. He was on top of one of the fenceposts for my garden, visiting with a... friend. I think they were playing a little game called "It's lunchtime!" and the mouse drew the menu card.

Hard to beat the combination of good-looking and superbly functional.

You better count your mice. I bet you have a lot of snakes around, and they are superb mousers. (Not all of them are rattlers, either.)

Lots of large bull snakes. I mean LARGE. Unfortunately, I cannot teach my Shorthair not to kill them. She absolutely hates snakes. We have no rattlers right here. We're all sand (no rocks for dens) and have no prairie dogs. I sure wish Emma would leave the snakes alone.

Always encourage the bull snakes to stay around. But, dang. Too bad Emma hates snakes so.

Well, I've sure tried. Reason didn't work, nor did the radio collar. She just plain can't stand them. The last one she killed was almost 6'. I didn't see the fight but Em didn't have a mark on her. I'm just glad we don't have rattlers or I'd really have a problem.
