The Great American Desert has become the Great American Jungle, thanks to all the rain we've had. The prairie is a-bloom everywhere. Many of the places where the dogs and I used to walk are now all but impassable. I have managed to cut a narrow tunnel to my mailbox through 10-foot-high sunflowers and horse-weed for the mailman. Weed growth in my garden is just as spectacular, unfortunately. This has been a summer to remember.
(The picture was taken on a neighbor's place, during my ramble yesterday.)

You know, visiting here every day, sometimes more than once a day, probably helps keep me from having to increase my blood pressure meds.
I'm not sure what's better, the pictures or the subject you chose to write about.
Thanks, Bob. I really appreciate the kind words. It's nice to know that there's somebody out there!
Oh, not to worry about there not being someone "out" here, you are being watched. I have you bookmarked from earlier in the year and ran across the link tonight while cleaning up an old computer. What a treat. I get to read (and see) a whole passel of entrys tonight and I am already feeling more relaxed. Thanks for sharing your time with me, and I know that really means "us". Love the prairie, love the mountains, love the water, love the West and love your blog.
