My "mail" town

My mail comes out of here, three times a week. So my postal address is in a town 40 miles away.

Population under 200. No grocery store. Coupla bars. A hardware store. Hey, we got a little library!

Like so many small towns on the High Plains it's struggling to hold itself together in the face of forces it didn't make and doesn't completely understand. But who does? The country is changing at a mighty rate and some of us are just barely hanging on.

Whatever you do, when you drive through there, don't blink, or you'll miss it! ;o)

Lot good to be said about small towns, though.

Looks like some of the ones you can still find here in Utah, once you get away from Salt Lake Valley.

Yeah, except for that wide, wide main street there isn't anything really distinctive about this one. We only have three towns in the county, with a total population of less than 1200 and getting smaller all the time.

That is kind of amusing. The town my Mrs is from had 3 bars and no grocery store, cept there it was just 15 miles to a grocery store. Got to love places.
