Constant visitor

I guess I shouldn't call him a "visitor" since he seems to have settled in. The mulies are still off on the prairie nursing their new fawns. They'll show up here in a week or so, as they usually do, bringing the little spotted ones with them of course. Meanwhile, this young whitetail buck has been enjoying the run of the place. This morning I went out to make a couple of pictures of him in the high grass just on the other side of the driveway. He watched me for a while and then took off for the high stuff. But before I was even back in the house he was back and walking across the front of my shooting range like he owned the place. Drove Emma nuts.

My, this fellow is handsome! Not sure who's watching who over at your place. Thanks for your posts and sharing your lovely pics. Love what you do - means so much to those of us surrounded by concrete!

Thanks, Marie. I really appreciate the kind words. Sometimes I get the urge to join the political affray (and occasionally do) but then I think about all the wonderful things out here that are really, in the long run, more important. To me anyway.

Isn't "not playing the game" of politics still playing?

It's called "Non-Particpation In Repeated Discrete Choice Models" in the jargon, and is a pretty powerful statement in itself!

Love the photos and peek into your world.

Cheers & 73

I drive by a little patch of corn on my way into town, down along a creek. Whoever it belongs to has hung up tin plates to twist in the wind, but it doesn't discourage the white tails who are in there eating the corn pretty frequently as I pass by.
