Off to the Fort!

It's been seven weeks to the day that I have bought supplies. Today I head over to do my vittlin' at the fort. The town formed around an old army post and then the post died but the town survived. Sort of. I guess having a WalMart (surely the worst WalMart in the whole chain!) is a kind of survival anyway. I get a day off-ranch and a store-boughten lunch and the town gets some of my money. A fair trade I guess.

Well, how did your day amongst the heathens treat you?

Sounds like a good time. Beats going to the office like me.

P., Not too bad, assuming I didn't catch one of their mysterious virae. Had a nice lunch, didn't spend an awful lot more than I had planned, and when I got home almost 10 hours later the dogs had been real good.

Thanks for asking!

H., Well I guess almost anything would be better than going to work under your conditions right now. This too shall pass!

Believe me, I do NOT take for granted my ability to make my own schedule, or NOT, as I see fit. (Hell, I worked for it!) Your time for that is coming friend and I KNOW you will relish it!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on your behalf, you can count on that.

Glad you are home OK, I hope to make a city trip for supplies tomorrow if I get home from work in time. If anything an excuse to go to the brewpub with a friend or two.

I appreciate the good thoughts. I can use the good karma they create.

Different sights are welcome, even if only to remind us how good we have it at home.

More and more, I think about a small house with a fair bit of woods around it, and a fair lack of neighbors, and a few dogs for company.
