The End of Days

Well, at least the end of the balmy days we have been having for the last few. Today was another 65°+ beauty. But our false spring is coming to an end tomorrow, with cold and snow in the forecast for the foreseeable future. It's been nice while it lasted and I have no complaints. Last year we didn't get a reprieve all winter and this little break had been genuinely restorative.

And it makes life interesting.

Yes, this break in our usual frigid January weather has been a welcome one. But I'm glad that temps are headed into freezer again. Trees were beginning to think spring had arrived. NOT. Wish I could speak "treeish" and tell them to stay asleep.

We had a beautiful day here in the Blue Ridge. Warm breeze, almost 70 degrees. It's clouding up now and we are expecting rain for the weekend, but at least it will not be so cold for awhile.

Glad your weather has changed. So has mine. From nigh 70° yestiddy today it was 10° with 4" of that white stuff and more on the way. Oh, joy!

It was in the high 40's for a couple of days. Felt like Spring after 20 below. Today 20 and more snow. Going to drive into the city for the blogmeet. Good day to sit inside and enjoy warm cheer with friends.
