Out in the hills

One of my neighbors also has a Shorthair and he and his and Jack and I spent last Sunday tramping the hills and doing a little bird hunting. It's very pleasant to have 90,000 acres all to yourself. There were plenty of birds. One rise had at least fifty birds and most of them appeared to be roosters. The dogs had a wonderful day and it was great fun to watch their pleasure and enthusiasm.

Nothing much better than that.

I'm starting to think you have left this earthly realm.

Hello, Kansas Scout—

Mea culpa, mea culpa!

No, I am not daid. Not yet at least.

I was a little surprised to see it had been so long since I had posted anything. There are several reasons for that. One is that Google makes it almost impossible for me to connect thru Safari (my main browser). If I try it puts me thru a silly "account" rigamarole that, in the end, does NOT connect me to the blog. If I use Fire Fox, no problem. But it IS inconvenient.

Secondly, I suspect I bore people since most of what I post are dog stories, wildlife stuff, and landscapes of the Great Empty.

Not very good excuses, but the best I can muster.

Thanks for your note!
