Earth & Sky

Saw these fellows on my way back from town a few weeks back. It's hard not to obsess just a little bit about how earth and sky come together out here, and there is so much of each!

Rio, that is the honest to God's truth. Every chance I have to get out of the confines of Denver, I do. Unlike most folk, I don't necessarily head for the mountains...I head for the plains, the long winding Cottonwood laced river bottoms and high, open plains.

Wrote a few posts about late deer hunting out on the high plains here:

Merry Christmas. Hope the year is one of great joy.

Happy New Year! Hope all is well with you out on the high plains. It may have just turned into January but you know spring won't be far away. Keep blogging. We city bound folk need to see/hear about those big skies and broad vistas to cling to any kind of sanity.

Given the events of the day, I am thinking a lil' road trip on the blue highways out into the cold broad sky and sleeping land.

I need to walk this ugly madness out of my being and see the clarity.

Heroes are rarely know, recognized. Madmen are.

Its a crazy fooking culture.
